In case you are a network administrator and need to check each computer connected to the network for optimum functionality, you may lose a lot of time and effort, as you will need to check each machine separately. Fortunately, there are some applications which allow you to remotely connect to any computer and perform a series of tests, for ensuring that each computer runs optimally. Thus, you will save a lot of time.

An application which allows you to connect remotely to any network computer is VNCScan. This Windows application can scan the network and present you with a list of computers which are currently connected to the local area network, allowing you to connect to each of them using just a couple of mouse clicks. After the program is installed and launched, the user will notice a complex interface, which includes a series of controls and options.

The first thing to do is to scan for network devices and organize all of them in the left part of the interface. Virtual folders can be created and each network device can be placed in any of them, for making them easy to find. After adding the desired network device to the program, one will be able to connect to each of them in two ways, either using VNC or the Windows remote connection or RDP. After connecting to a network computer, the user can perform any kind of actions, just like he was sitting in front of it.

Besides connecting to network computers, VNCScan can also ping a machine, take a snapshot of the computer's desktop or even shut down or restart a network computer, all remotely. Thus, you will be able to quickly check any network machine for connectivity problems.

Pros

It allows you to easily connect to any network computer remotely and perform any kind of action. Besides that, it allows you to ping a network device and take a snapshot of its desktop. Furthermore, all the network computers can be easily organized in the program's interface, in various folders.

Cons

The interface may be difficult to understand by inexperienced computer users, as it features a series of advanced controls. VNCScan allows you to easily and quickly connect to any network computer and perform a series of actions, for ensuring that each of them is running smoothly.
